What a beast this will be when finished. The warship class locos named after Royal Navy ships. Were mainly kept on the western region but did reach Waterloo (SR) and Crewe (MR) they lasted in service until 1972. Liveries went from Green, Maroon and the final BR Blue livery. Many pictures depict well-worn locos with paint worn off to give a tatty finish. A good chance to try those weathering techniques.
Manufactured by D.J.H. Engineering exclusively for Tower Models this kit has earned a reputation for quality and accuracy. The kit comes with twin Buhlar motors, Slaters wheels, Romford gears, sprung buffers and screwlink couplings, hence requiries only paint, solder and glue to build it. | |
