A new version of Hornby's Grange, 6877 Llanfair Grange carries the as built 1934 plain green livery with GWR button monogram logo. Accurate and fine detailing is complemented by a powerful 5-pole engine-mounted motor and current pickups on all driven and tender axles to ensure smooth running.

Ex-GWR manor class 4-6-0 7825 Lechlade Manor in the BR express passenger lined green livery, with later style crest. The Manors were mixed traffic locos. But were used to great effect on the Cambrian Coast Express and in the rolling hills of Wales. They were one of the noisiest GWR locos with a good bark when working hard.

The classic Great Western branchline engine, the 45xx class 2-6-2T were small but powerful locomotives able to run fast in either direction. Bachmann have produced a very good and smooth running model of these popular engines which remained in service until the end of steam on the Western region.

GWR 4527 carries the last GWR livery from the post-WWII era lettered G W R.

The superb weathered version of the BR (ex-GWR) 45xx class 2-6-2 tank engine. Number 4573 carries the BR black livery with the earlier type of crest, the first livery style applied to these engines after nationalisation in 1948. This model is lightly weathered, taking away the polished 'ex-works' look to depict the appearance of a locomotive actually in service. The 45xx class were used on branch, local and suburban passenger trains, plus 'pick-up' goods trains across the Western region.

A weathered version of the ex-GWR 56xx class 0-6-2 tank engine in BR black livery. These powerful and hard worked engines would not have stayed clean long, as they worked around the South Wales coal mines and docks they would quickly have collected layers of dust and dirt. It's unlikely even this weathered model represents the filthy condition one of these engines might have completed it's days work in!

56xx BR Plain Green

The first of the British DCC On Board locomotives expected in August.

One of the GWR's modern shunting pannier tanks of the later 8750 class, built from the late 1930's onwards. The Bachmann model captures the look of these popular tank engines whose steaming capacity and smooth riding enabled them to undertake heavy shunting duties or handle pick-up goods trains along the mainlines. A couple of panniers would be at home on any GWR or BR(W) layout.

BR 9759 is supplied with a factory fitted DCC decoder, ready for service on your DCC layout. This model carries the BR plain black livery with the later style of crest.

An initial batch of 100 of the 56xx class was commenced in 1924. 6600 was the first of a second batch of 100 started in 1927.6600 was based at Hereford in 1955.
